Responsible as Technical Excellence Lead (Electrical) to provide strategic direction for the MV/LV Power systems for a sizeable new railway in the Middle East comprising almost 100 new stations with High Speed, Metro & Freight lines. Overseeing design teams based in London, Belfast, Madrid & Abu Dhabi.

·Leading the London & Belfast design teams in all architectural workshops and design deliverables

·Regular presentations and updates to the client team

·Co-ordination to achieve a consistent approach between all four design teams with common solutions for the MV/LV system architecture

·Standardisation of plant & equipment to:

o reduce requirement for onsite commissioning (plug & play)

o reduction in required spares

o reduction in maintenance staff training requirements

o improvement in quality of build

o improvement in reliability

·Investigation to develop modular solutions with an emphasis on off-site manufacture

·Close liaison with the systemwide MV teams & station architects

·4D design to ensure all plant and equipment has sufficient space to facilitate future plant replacement without closing individual stations
